The Ambos Mundos Hotel, in Havana, has been home to Ernest Hemingway’s secrets and dreams. Hemingway spent a long time in room 511 observing someone from behind the curtains. Someone who, every morning, looked up and greeted him from the street with a flirtatious gesture, before covering her blond hair with a colourful scarf, getting into a convertible and driving off, leaving behind a trail of scent and charm. That girl, seductive and playful, was an aspiring actress named Leonella. The only woman who denied the attention of the famous writer and who remained forever in his heart.
